Living Tomorrow was founded in 1991 by architects Frank Belien and Peter Bongers. Their mission was to create a platform on which several companies could show their innovative ideas. The first Living Tomorrow home was opened on the 16th of march 1995 in Vilvoorde. Bill Gates had the honor to open Living Tomorrow. This Project lasted until the year 2000 and was a big success. A second Living Tomorrow was opened and since 2007 it is already the third home that has opened its doors.

There are many innovative products in the Living Tomorrow house. Some are meant for everybody but there is also a project which is cold elderly home. This project specializes in letting elderly live independent in there homes for as long as possible. Much of those Living tomorrow innovations are also nice for everyone. Think of a self sustainable kitchen. It keeps records of what’s in storage and if products tend to run out, it orders new ones and let it be brought to your home. Even brushing your teeth becomes innovative with the special computer mirror. While standing in front of it, you can watch the news or look up the weather forecast.
