Golmaal 3 carries the burden of humungous expectations and the first promo of the film more than lives up to the hype. Like all Rohit Shetty films, it promises lots of fun, excitement and loads of entertainment. I am sure, the promo will be greeted with ceetees and taalis at plexes and single screens alike. It leaves you asking for more!
This Diwali, Golmaal 3 is sure to strike like lightening. It is sure to tickle your funny bone yet again. Oh yes, this time it promises to be bigger and better. This writer had an exclusive dekko at the first promo of Golmaal 3. It will officially be launched with Dabangg next Friday [10th September].
There are enough instances of kutte, kaminey gaalis in Hindi films. So, director Rohit Shetty thought of coining some new set of cuss words for his Golmaal 3. The fun idea has taken shape already, and guess what, everyone on the sets have even started practicing it.
We can guess that there is some real masti going on the sets of ‘Golmaal 3’ that features Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. According to sources, stars in the film are already enjoying this new set of gaalis and once the movie releases the general public might also start to mouth them.
Here are the new, no-holds-barred gaalis from ‘Golmaal 3’ - “Bhenchik, Madar launde and Chuziye.”
Well, we all know their inspiration. Don’t we?

Golmaal 3 cast celebrate Mithun's birthday
By: Shaheen Parkar Date: 2010-06-17 Place: Mumbai
Wednesday spelt merrymaking on the sets of Golmaal 3 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Mithun Chakraborthy turned a year older and his co-stars from the comic caper wanted to make the day a memorable one.
Director Rohit Shetty and the film's stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapooor, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu and Ratna Pathak Shah had organised a bash for the veteran actor.
Choc cake
Says Rohit, "We had ordered a chocolate birthday cake for him which we cut on the sets in the afternoon. As we were shooting for a song sequence, the entire cast was present for the schedule. We took a break from the shoot specially to celebrate his birthday."
As soon as the cake was brought, the unit folk sang for him and Kareena was the first to wish him and offer him a big slice of the cake.
A privilege
Rohit adds, "It was a privilege for us to celebrate his big day with him. From day one of the shoot, he has been extremely popular not just with the rest of the cast but also the crew. During our first schedule in Mumbai, the crew and he would belt out his popular songs together."
Earlier in the day when Mithunda arrived for the shoot he was greeted by all the crew members. "Even though it was his big day, he preferred to have a working birthday," says Rohit.
GOLMAAL RETURNS is now officially a sure shot success. The film has been accepted in a big way by the audience and in the process has ensured that after a string of mega budget disappointments like DRONA, KIDNAP and KARZZZZ, Bollywood is back to smiling.
As per the collections made available by Studio 18 to this writer, till Sunday, this Rohit Shetty directed film has collected over 40 crores gross (not Net) just from India. Overseas too the film has taken a bumper beginning with UAE bringing in 1.3 million dirham and UK boasting of 1.93 lakh pounds from 42 screens.
Film's huge success in UK is quite notable considering there has been competition from Hollywood with the likes of QUANTUM OF SOLACE, SAW 5 and GHOST TOWN running alongside GOLMAAL RETURNS. Still, the film has managed to make it into the Top–10 charts there.
The way this fun film is going at the box office, it is all set to out gross the entire collection of the biggest money spinner of Rohit Shetty, GOLMAAL (30 crores net), by the end of 1st week itself.
Says Rohit Shetty, who is of course elated with the film's response, "This is a huge beginning for the film and frankly even I was not expecting such a tremendous response. But well, it is great to see audience loving the film so much, especially children. I had always believed that the film was catering to the children as well as elderly alike and though some intelligent critics didn't feel so, the collections prove otherwise."
Talking about the way the film has sustained on a very good note across all the five days (Wednesday–Sunday), Rohit says, "For us Saturday was a litmus test because if one looks at a conventional 3–day weekend period, Saturday was pretty much a Monday for us. Since the collections have only rocked further on with every passing day that has made GOLMAAL RETURNS pretty much a bona fide success. Now work has to begin on GOLMAAL – 3."
Golmaal 3 is an upcoming hindi comedy movie directed by Rohit Shetty. It is a sequel to the film Golmaal and Golmaal Returns. The main casts are Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor. It is scheduled to release on 19 November 2010 during Diwali.
