Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra has received a huge response from the viewers as all the theatres in Andhra Pradesh are running full house. The Telugu version of the movie opened in 280 screens. Now, they are planning to open it in more 40 screens with 90 additional shows because of the growing popularity and high public demand. As already known by all, Rakta Charitra is based on the real life story of Paritala Ravi, who was the prime suspect in several murder cases. The movie has come under many controversies even before the release and there was a great furore among a group of people regarding it.
Rakta Charitra is the trilingual Hindi-Telugu- Tamil project which is going to release on today 22nd October, 2010. The movie is based on life of Paritala Ravindra, who was a political leader in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Tamil version of movie is made in one part while Hindi and Telugu have two parts. The second part of the movie will release on November 19, 2010. The first part of movie shows the story of Partiala Ravindra and in the second version describes story about Madela Cheruvu Suri.

Indian biographical film ‘Rakht Charitra’ is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Vivek Oberoi acted outstandingly the role of Ravindra while Surya plays the role of Madela Cheruvu Suri – Ravi’s political nemesis in this movie. Other actors like Shatrughan Sinha, Priyamani, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Radhika Apte are also part of this movie. Mani Sharma is the music director of this movie while the audio right of Rakta Charitra is bagged by Madhura Music. All songs of Rakta Charitra are mainly background scores. Shatrughan Sinha made his come back with this movie and is playing a part of NTR, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister.
Synopsis:
The movie ‘Rakta Charitra’ is a biography of Paritala Ravindra, who is slain political leader from Andhra Pradesh. Rakta Charitra is the story of the conspiracy theories surrounding 2005 assassination of Paritala Ravindra. On Friday afternoon in November 1997 a road near Rama Naidu Studio in Hyderabad was turned into a death field by a bomb which killed 26 people that was intended to murder of Ravi but he survived in that case and also in many assassination attempts . He was a prime charged in numerous murder cases.
Due to political differences, Paritala Ravindra has been murdered in the beginning of 2005. As a result, blood curdling conflict and rivalry between two political figures of Andhra Pradesh has been started. The story is also the ultimate statement on the frequently heard catastrophic consequences of a deadly mixture of caste, crime, family feuds and politics.
